June 26, 2023 – Mystic Garden Club Awards over $23,630 in Grants, Scholarships and Donations to the Local Community

Through its fund-raising efforts, Mystic Garden Club is proud to award over $23,630.00 in grants, scholarships and donations to local community organizations. Primary fund-raisers are the Club’s annual December Greens Sale and June Plant Sale. All funds from the Plant Sale benefit the Mystic & Noank Library, this year in the amount of $5380.00.

Grants were awarded to the following organizations: Always Home, Avalonia Land Conservancy, Denison Homestead, Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center (DPNC), Groton Open Space Association (GOSA), Mystic & Noank Library, and the Riverfront Children’s Center. Scholarship funds in the amount of $5,000.00 were donated to Three Rivers College for students majoring in the Environmental Engineering Program. The Club also provides and maintains flowers for the downtown Mystic planters all seasons, planting annuals in the spring, summer and fall and fresh greens in the winter.
