Our March meeting was held with the environment in mind and what we as gardeners…
November 2014 Meeting
Many MGC members turned out for a warm and witty lecture about the use of herbs, canning preserves and saving seeds by Linda Fleming of Madison, Connecticut in November.
Linda is a hands on, lifetime gardener. Her garden is her delight. T. S. Eliot once wrote that “Home is where we start from”, and Linda holds this quote close to her heart. In her lectures, she weaves her stories of Oklahoma and her passion for all things gardening.
Linda is a Connecticut Master Gardener, a contributor to Connecticut Gardener magazine and a member of the Westport Garden Club. She has lectured in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Vermont, and Utah.
She treated us to many stories of her childhood in Oklahoma; how to make our own seed packages and a beautiful slide show of her own garden flowers to explain the fibonacci spiral.
