DSC01023Our 2013 April Meeting was also Guest Day for the Mystic Garden Club.  Guest Speaker, Tony Palmieri, gave an informative presentation on the technique for making hand-tied bouquets with common flowers and plant material.  He transformed some very ordinary flowers into stunning bouquets and taught a bit of his unique style to the Club.  Very out-of-the box! Loved it!

It is a Barred Owl (Strix varia) and is a large typical owl native to North America. Best known as the Hoot Owl for its distinctive call, Mary Ann reports the visitor appeared just after the last blizzard.
