We were pleased to have Elaine Digiovanni and Linda Ladd as our speakers for their presentation on “Holiday Sparkle” for our annual church fellowship day on November 17, 2009. Elaine and Linda are nationally accredited Master Flower Show Judges with National Garden Clubs, Inc. and have both won many top awards for their floral designs.

Bert Turner’s cactus blooming & ready for her Thanksgiving table. Her secret to success is to leave it out in the summer & take in when the nights are in the 40’s. Feed it & watch it bloom. It also likes to be potbound & sit in a sunny window.

A former opera singer and medical student, Louis Raymond currently runs his own business “Renaissance Gardens” in Rhode Island. His theatrical flair made him a dramatic speaker for the Club’s Guest Day. His presentation topic was “Hedging the American Dream: Privacy and Horticulture in the U.S.”.
